New radio show!

A new radio show aimed at people with disabilities, their close ones and professionals

Since September 7, the Radisson Community Centre, in collaboration with host Gaston L’Heureux and in partnership with the community station Radio Ville-Marie, has created a brand new show for people with disabilities, but also for those who work with them or help in indirect or direct ways. The show broadcasts every Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The show is divided into two parts:

Public figures will give an account of how their awareness was raised by the family members or friends of people who live with one or many disabilities. This type of account encourages a greater understanding in the public at large. For example, Yvon Deschamps, who has been volunteering for many years with physically disabled people, will explain why he does it.

Information

For example, during the September 14 episode, professionals from the Office des personnes handicapées du Québec (OPHQ) came on the show to briefly explain some services (protection of universal access to medical, educational, housing, citizenship, and other rights) available to individuals living with a disability. They will be back on the show several times during the year to share more information on the different services offered by the OPHQ.

This project is also a forum for public expression. Consequently, we invite all institutional and community organizations to come tell the population about the multitude of services offered for people living with disabilities.

Finally, it is also possible to broadcast 15 second, 30 second or 1 minute commercials.

The show will be on the air for 37 weeks.
